Climbing

Climbing, climbing everywhere...from the dining room chair into the high chair, onto the dining room chair behind Grandma then up Grandma's back over her shoulder, onto Grandma's bed, and even into the dryer!

PB&J

The new favorite food, peanut butter & jelly sandwich.  Just about the only thing Miss Squirmalicious will really eat. She'll drink 2 yogurt smoothies for breakfast and that's about it.  Doesn't even want any raisins...2 weeks ago that's all she wanted.  I wonder what it'll be next week?

Squirmalicious, Grandpa & I went to vote today. Squirmalicious just went for the stickers!

What a fun day we had! This 18 month old is not scared of anything.

Hurricane Sandy

Grandpa & I are really missing our Squirmalicious.  We were away for the weekend and now today we're having a hurricane so everyone stayed home to be safe.  Thank goodness her mom sent us a picture of her in her Owl Halloween costume!

Grocery Shopping

On our way into Giant, Miss Squirmalicious spotted the shopping carts with cars in front.  We got her buckled in and off we went. She was so cute...steering, honking, saying "Hi!" to other shoppers.  I stopped to get some Jello for Grandpa and she gets all excited and yells "yogurt" or more like "yogi" and grabs a 6 pack of her favorite yogurt smoothies! So of course Grandma had to buy it.

Sleeves

Squirmalicious pushed up her sleeves today!  Too cute!  Later in the day she took her arm out of her sleeve and put in through the neck opening.  Silly girl.  :)

Jersey Mike Sub

When we went to get lunch out of the refrigerator, Squirmalicous grabbed half a Jersey Mike's Sub and took off running with it.  I told her if she wanted to eat it she should sit in her high chair.  She came over, hugging the sandwich and let me put her in her chair. She then ate half of that, including lettuce and tomato, falling asleep over her last bites.  :)

Holiday Decorations

We went to Lowe's today and our Squirmalicious absolutely loved seeing all the Halloween and even Christmas decorations. We're going to have so much fun this holiday season! 

Meow

Poor baby was not feeling well today but for a little while we did pretend we were cats...crawling around and meowing.  She thinks it's so funny!

Label sticker

My Squirmalicious spent about a half hour pulling a label sticker off the bottom of her pail in pieces and then sticking them all over her grandma.  When she was done, she looked her grandma in the face, smiled, said, "awww" and gave her grandma a big hug!

Eating

Now we are going through a not eating much phase unless she can eat by herself...with a spoon or tubes of yogurt.  Squirmalicious also wants to hold her own yogurt smoothie and juice box.  When she wanted to walk around with her juice box and I would not let her, she tried to get away and squeezed the juice box with an apple juice shower as the result!  Goes well with the applesauce and yogurt on the floor.  Oh, and she can now open the bread and snack drawers.  Yesterday she took out some potato bread hot dog rolls and ate some after not eating a very good breakfast and then pooping.  Later in the day she took out 2 containers of nuts and walked around hugging them.  What a character!

Talking

Miss Squirmalicious is talking more and more; she's putting words together like, "Where binky?"  One of the funnier things is that sometimes when asked a question she'll put her finger to her bottom lip and say, "Hmmm..."

Whoa...

The past week or so Squirmalicious has been pretending to fall very slowly while saying, "Whoa!"  She'll then say "you're OK".  Today she started spinning around and making herself dizzy, again saying, "whoa."

Hello

Squirmalicious is sound asleep, the phone rings, she says, "Hello" but doesn't move a muscle and continues to nap!

Smoky Mountains

We spent last week in the Smoky Mountains and had a wonderful vacation.  Coincidentally, Miss Squirmalicious started calling me Meemaw and her Grandpa, Peepaw!  :)

Oh no!

We were doing some straightening up in Grandma's bedroom and the little Squirmalicious took off with a LED tea light and holder.  By the time I caught up to her she was standing in the office next to Grandpa's desk. with her hand over her mouth saying, "Oh no!"  When I asked her what was wrong she went over to a large 5 gal water bottle that we keep change in and stuck her hand in and said, "Oh no!" again. There in the bottle was the LED tea light!  The little stinker!

Baby Proof

Grandpa baby proofed all the kitchen cabinets months ago but apparently they are not Squirmalicious proof!  He even tried to tighten them but no match for our girl...now we'll have to reorganize the cabinets to keep her safe. Too smart for all our good! 

Looking for Grandpa

Grandpa came home from work, gave hugs and kisses, then spent a few minutes playing with our Squirmalicious.  He went up stairs to get changed and she got upset as usual so I tried to distract her.  She bought it for a few minutes but then went by the stairs and said, "Where Pa?"

Snuggled to Sleep

It was nap time, bottle finished while watching Sesame Street and then my Squirmalicious looked up, smiled and just snuggled into Grandma and went to sleep!

No!

I was trying to sneak some kisses and my Squirmalicious put up her hand in front of me and with a very serious look, pointed at me, shook her finger back and forth and said, "No!"

The Cat in the Hat

I thought "The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That" show would be too old for Squirmalicious but we watched it a few times last week and today since it was the only 'educational' show on at the time and she was fussy.  She wanted to be held most of the day so we're sitting on the couch together watching it and she actually laughed out loud several times!  I guess she gets the humor...who would've thought.  :)

Fearless Water Baby

Another fun trip to the pool with our fearless water baby!  She also thinks it's funny to run towards the pool with Grandma chasing her...

More trouble :)

Grandma & Grandpa are in for more trouble!  Our sweet little Squirmalicious can now open the lever doorknobs in our home and is very happy with herself!!

Baby in a Basket

Miss Squirmalicious climbed into one of her toy baskets and tried to take toys out from under her.  Next she climbed on the toys onto a chair.  Shades of her Dad and Aunt! 

Oh Man!

Our little Squirmalicious has been known to say, "Oh Man!" at surprisingly appropriate times.  We could not figure out where she learned it but now I know, it's Grandpa and he didn't even know it.

Pool Noodles

Grandpa cut the pool noodle in half for us and we were playing with them.  I was bopping my Squirmalicious on her head and all over her body and she was laughing and laughing!  I love hearing her laugh.  ;)

Let me sleep Grandma!

My poor Squirmalicious wasn't herself today, so after a little breakfast and some teething gel she fell asleep at 9:30 and the phone woke her up at noon.  After a crabby afternoon she kept trying to lay down on me around 4:30.  When I wouldn't let her, she went to the other side of the couch and rested her head on a pillow to watch "Super Why" and within 5 minutes was sound asleep.  I hope she sleeps OK tonight... 

Uh-oh

A new skill...leaning forward in the shopping cart until the seat belt pops open!

Ottoman

Uh-oh...our Squirmalicious has a new pastime, climbing.  She can now climb up onto the ottoman!  Climbed up, stood up, put her hands in the air and said, "Yay!"  She keeps trying to climb onto the couch and chairs too.

Baby in a Basket

Squirmalicious now thinks it fun to climb in laundry baskets.  She'll even put some toys in to play with before she climbs in!

Baa...

Some sheep came on TV and Miss Squirmalicious said, "Baaaaaaa!" 

Stringing Wooden Beads

A new favorite pastime, stringing wooden beads.  Miss Squirmalicious will sit very seriously for quite a while doing this.

Legos

We keep a box of of Castle Lego's in our bedroom for Squirmalicious to play with.  She used to pretty much just dump them out all over the place and hold the princesses.  Today she was very busy actually putting Lego's together and taking them back apart.  She's learning so fast!

Costco

Like Grandma, like Grandbaby...likes to go out and likes to go to Costco.  When we walked in, Grandpa asked why is she so happy?  It's because she likes to go to Costco, likes to try all the samples and share a frozen yogurt with Grandma. 

Baaaa...

Every animal that Squirmalicious picks up says, Baa-baa!  So adorable.  When we saw some cows at the dairy farm she yelled, "Hello"  and then, "Baa-baa". 

Slinky

I bought a $1 Slinky at Target while we were there.  Little Squirmalicious is fascinated with it.  She even puts it around her shoulders!  Best $1 spent.

Climbing

Climbing has become a favorite endeavor of Miss Squirmalicious.  Last week she climbed up on the ottoman and then stood up.  Today she climbed up on the music table her aunt gave her and stood up, while making music!  :)

Letters

We now have magnetic letters and numbers on the refrigerator.  Our Squirmalicious loves them and for some reason, she especially likes the E and the 3, picks them out no matter where they are!

Kitty Love

Our Grandkitty has been staying with us and Miss Squirmalicious just adores her.  Whenever she sees her she yells Hi and runs over to see her.  She gets so excited to watch her eat treats.  Today we were up in my bedroom and the cat came in, Squirmalicious sat down next to her and talked to her and just loved it!

Fearless

We went to the pool today and our Squirmalicious is fearless!  She has no fear of the water.  She'll put her face in the water and laugh.  Later we played in the fountain sprays and she was giddy with delight.  Again she was putting her face in the sprays as well as her hands and then walking over them.  So much fun. 

Kisses

When our little Squirmalicious starts getting rough and I say, "Gentle," she takes my face in both her hands and gives me baby kisses! Just so precious. :)

Tease

Miss Squirmalicous is such a tease.  She pretends she's going to give me something to eat and quickly eats it herself!  And then she giggles.

Gentle

Squirmalicious was getting a little rough trying to get Grandma's glasses so I said, "Gentle" and with both hands she very softly touched my cheeks and smiled!  :)

Fun at the Little Gym

So much fun at the Little Gym today.  Squirmalicious was very busy.  The cutest thing was she tickled another babies feet!

Crazy!

It's crazy that now it's been almost 2 months since I've written.  Everyone in the family has been sick, our poor little Squirmalicious the worst.  She is getting so big and eating like crazy to make up for being sick.  While I was contagious for a week her hair grew so much.  Not only is she walking all over, today at the Little Gym she was running!  Her energy is finally back full force.

Flushing

Learned to flush the toilet today and liked it, so she did it again!

Time flies...

I cannot believe it's been over a month since I've posted.  Grandma was sick, Squirmalicious was sick, Grandma got a new computer and just so busy.  Lots of snuggling and learning new things every day.  :)

Waving

Squirmalicious is getting very good at waving hello and goodbye...today she waved hello when she saw our visiting Grandkitty!  So precious!

Catch me Grandma!

So cute...my little Squirmalicioius decided she wanted Grandma to chase her again today so she started crawling fast, stopping, turning around to look at me and laugh so that I'd crawl after her!  When I'd catch her she'd laugh like crazy...music for my heart.  :)

Kisses

Kisses for Grandma!  My little Squirmalicious will now give me a kiss when I ask her...the typical baby open mouth kiss but it is a kiss!!

Sharing

My Squirmalicious now shares with Grandma and she cannot be fooled...that soggy baby biscuit is going IN your mouth, no fooling her by pretending to eat it!

Sleepover

We had a sleepover this past weekend and it was so much fun.  Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt J and Squirmalicious laughed and laughed! 

Newest Sound

The newest sound is snorting like a bull!  At first I thought my Squirmalicious had some food up her nose but no...the snorting continues....funny girl!

So Tired

Squirmalicious and I went to the Little Gym today.  She had a great time and then came home and played like crazy after lunch.  She was so tired that even Grandpa couldn't get her to wake up from her nap after 2 hours.  She was a very happy baby when she did wake up and cuddled lots with her Grandpa!
