Cold!

Here we are, halfway though October and it's so windy and cold. Summer ended only 2 weeks ago it was in the 90s. Then we had 2 weeks of beautiful weather in the 70s. The rain and wind are knocking all the leaves down. Of course the kids don't seem to be as affected. We got home from school at dinner time - I ran in because I was chilly but the kids stayed outside in just long sleeved coats. Maybe we'll have an Indian summer soon?

Sweaty

When I picked the kids up today they were very red faced and sweating. They'd been outside for most of the YMCA after school program and it was 87 today. We went into the building so they could get a drink of water and refill water bottles. First Miss Squirmalicious was putting her face in the water fountain and drying her face on my shirt! Of course Major Cuteness followed! It was hot so cooling for me too! ;)

Chicken Nuggets, Hot Dogs, & Nutella

Major Cuteness only wants to eat chicken nuggets...breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Tonight I did get him to eat a couple of hot dogs. Miss Squirmalicious has a new favorite, Nutella on toast. Crazy diets my grandkids!

90

Another week in the 90's! The kids are at Bar-T camp again this week and when I pick them up they are hot, dirty, and exhausted. Good thing they swim twice a day. We don't even want to go outside. Last week was in the 80's and I could sit out in the mornings to drink my tea. It's already in the mid-80's when Grandpa drives them to camp! Too hot for morning tea outside. :(

Last Day of School

Seems crazy that time has flown by so fast that it's the last day of school already! Miss Squirmalicious finished 2nd grade and Major Cuteness kindergarten. Early dismissal and then on to the library. I needed to drag them out with a bribe of McDonald's for dinner along with a giant bag of library books, DVD's, and video games.

1st Communion

Miss Squirmalicious made her 1st Communion today. She looked like a princess. Congrats to her mom for getting her to this day.

Trampoline

Grandpa and Daddy put the trampoline together that we gave the kids for Christmas. So far a big hit, they keep wanting to go outside to play on it, and not just jumping...all kinds of pretend play! Yesterday they were both babies crawling around and crying. Major Cuteness brings armfuls of friends too!

Homework

Major Cuteness continues to try and get out of his reading homework. Just like his sister! The homework would only take 5 minutes but he'll argue for what seems like hours.

Swimming

Major Cuteness had swimming lessons this evening. He's getting good. Miss Squirmalicious was unstoppable. Of course, she swims really well now but even prior to learning she was confident that she could swim. Her no fear sometimes scared me.

Warmed My Heart

Miss Squirmalicious and her Dad were outside after dinner playing baseball. So warmed my heart to see them having a great time together.

Camps from ??

Whew! First day of Beach Ya camp for Miss Squirmalicious and Little Slugger T-Ball for Major Cuteness. Not a very good start. Squirmalicious did not want to stay. Major Cuteness did not want to pay attention. Let's hope tomorrow is a better day.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day already. An awesome poem was written by my Squirmalicious. Major Cuteness wants to go to the movies with the gift card they gave me. Lots of love and hugs and kisses from all! I am blessed.

2019?!!

How is it possible that time is flying by so quickly? It was a wonderful Christmas! Miss Squirmalicious and Major Cuteness were so excited and just so much fun at this age. They still haven't played with all their new toys, that's how many gifts they received.
